Reupholstery and repairs for businesses
We work for restaurants, hotels, offices, clinics and the public sector in the Oslo region – from single pieces to larger series, and new built-in furniture.
Why reupholster
Repairing the furniture you already have is an alternative to buying new.
Longer life
A solid frame lasts a long time. With new padding and a new cover it can keep going.
Less waste
We keep what is in good condition and only replace what is worn.
Same function, new look
The shape and function are kept. A different fabric can transform the piece if a new look is wanted.
Short distance from workshop to client
Local workshop
The workshop is in Oslo, and we work in the Oslo region. Furniture travels a short distance – unlike new furniture, which is often made and shipped from abroad.
We only replace what needs replacing
Frames, springs and padding that are still in good condition are kept. This is where the biggest environmental gain lies.
Choice of fabric
The fabric accounts for a large share of the emissions from reupholstery. We can help you choose ecolabelled fabrics, and you are also welcome to supply your own.
How much CO₂ do you save?
An estimate of the emissions saved by reupholstering instead of buying new.
- New piece, same fabric
- 299 kg
- Reupholstery
- 109 kg
This is an estimate based on published life cycle assessments, not a calculation for a specific piece. The figures are conservative – for example, reupholstery is counted with long-distance transport of new fabric – so the actual saving is probably higher.

New piece: production, transport and waste (Rambøll/Swedish Society for Nature Conservation), calculated with the same fabric as the reupholstery. Reupholstery: new fabric (6 kg), optionally new foam throughout (33.5 kg at 3.5 kg CO₂e/kg), plus waste and transport. Frame, springs and other parts are reused.
